Last week was a bit insane with Christmas, a work trip to Tennessee and then vacation to Toronto for New Years! I am a bit tuckered out this morning but will be back with some details once I get my work stuff caught up.

It contains a UHD of the feature as well as a Blu-ray feature disc, bonus disc and the original soundtrack on CD. Random Things

The big snow from this past weekend is slowly melting. Thankfully, we only lost power for about 2-1/2 hours on Sunday afternoon. I know folks who went several days without power. The forecast calls for a lot of rain starting tomorrow afternoon/evening, so I imagine that will wash a lot of the remaining snow away.

Meanwhile … here are some random things:
– My anxiety level has been a bit crazy this week which always makes for fun days.
– In two weeks we will be headed to Toronto.
– I have been super unfocused/unmotivated in regards to work this week.
– I need to get off my ass and really learn my lines for that show I am doing in January.
– I have eaten too many holiday treats. Looking at my belly tells me so.
– I am not going to weigh myself until at least February.
– Today is David and I’s EIGHTH anniversary!
– I am not sure that last sentence was grammatically correct.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Earlier this year during the run up to the release of Mission Impossible: Fallout (the best movie of the year, BTW), Paramount put all the previous Mission Impossible films out on 4K UHD discs. They designed the art for all those releases to match. Pretty awesome … right? Yes! Was it too much to hope they would keep that design style for the eventual disc release (only seven months later) of Fallout? Evidently so!

This angers the designer in me. Why spend the time designing a matching set to only throw said design template out the window when the new movie comes out? Plus … this messes with my OCD sooooooooo bad.

Around and About

What’s been going on? I lost the last couple of days because of being too drunk (and hungover) and being too full of dread and anxiety. Ugh.

The drunk part was mostly fun. Glenn and Stephen hosted their annual holiday party this past Saturday and the food and wine flowed a little too freely. I really do need to learn some self control measures. I don’t have to drink every day, but when I do drink, I have a hard time knowing when to stop. Needless to say, Sunday morning was a bit rough.

But, apparently, my brain was not fully satisfied with just being hung over. By Sunday afternoon I was feeling lots of generalized dread/anxiety. I really hate it. There never seems to be anything specific that fuels it. I just get this intense feeling that something bad is going going to happen but I don’t know what. Everything seems tinged with darkness around the edges. It’s a pretty yucky way to feel. Yesterday was somewhat better and today is even a little better. It usually takes several days to fully shake it.

Anyhoo.

Also over the weekend, I bought myself a fancy new carry-on/backpack for the trip to Toronto. I did not obsess for at least a week about making this purchase. The first test at packing it went pretty well and I think I should be able to get all the stuff I want to take with me in it. But I really do need to try over packing it just to see exactly how much stuff I can cram in it. Yay, travel.

The Christmas season is fully underway. We put up the Christmas tree on Sunday. Christmas presents are slowly filtering into the house. I need to get off my ass and get some wrapped and under said tree this afternoon. The egg nog I made over Thanksgiving is now ready to drink. Yum!

And … they are calling for snow this weekend! Yay. Right now the forecast is very up in the air about the amount of white stuff we will get. That should be more in focus in the next few days. Hopefully it will hold off until Saturday evening as we have a board game double date for Saturday afternoon. Whee!

Material Goods

Thanksgiving was fairly nice with lots of fellowship and waaaaaay too much food.

But, most importantly, material needs were met with Black Friday specials and the Criterion/B&N 50% Off Sale! He who dies with the most movies wins … right?

In reality … I really do need to stop buying movies. It’s gotten TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL!

We went over to Gatlinburg on Sunday … and amidst moonshine drinking, old tyme photo-ing, and Mysterious Mansion-ing, I was able to get a fancy new pair of KEEN hiking shoes at the NOC’s Gatlingburg outpost. If I ever quit buying movies then I would just end up spending all my money on super cool hiking gear.
