Where does the time go? And the answer is … DEPRESSION! Since the summer, I have really been struggling with focusing on things other than work and scrolling TikTok.
But life has been rolling along.
Work, eat, drink, scroll TikTok, sleep, and maybe cry a little. Rinse. Repeat.
Of note, I crossed over the 54 threshold last October. I am looking forward to hitting the 55 mark later this year because certain businesses set their senior discount age at 55. Yeah. Kinda excited to be closing in on senior discount territory.
I have been to trivia several times since summer ended. Three different teams and three different first-place finishes. This makes me never want to do trivia again because I now have a big head about always winning. Ha ha. The toughest thing about trivia is coming up with a fun team name.

Team “The Baldy Beardo Cartel”
I am most proud of winning the special horror trivia night before Halloween. We only missed one question the entire game.

Team “Three From Hell”
And, it just dawned on me that I am wearing the exact same thing in all these photos. What the hell?! I swear I have other clothes.
I had a couple of tickets for concerts lined up in January/February. One of the shows got cancelled because we had an ice storm that made traveling stupidly dangerous. I am super bummed that I didn’t get to see Sudan Archives.

But! The Nine Inch Nails show in Charlotte on February 10 went off without a hitch.

I didn’t have any NIN shirts to wear, so, hopefully, dressing in black fit the occasion.

Speaking of winter weather, we FINALLY got a decent amount of snow a few weekends ago. I measured right at 8″ on the back porch at one point. I wish it snowed here more during the winter. Stupid global warming!

I got a wild hair a few weeks ago and bought the stuff to do a cross-stitch project. This pattern is a Twin Peaks-themed owl. It’s an effort to give myself something to focus on other than sitting around staring at the walls or TikTok. The plan, ultimately, is to give the finished piece to A&A (who are big Twin Peaks fans). Hopefully, they will like it.

And, yes. The plan is to get back to posting here on a more regular basis. How many times have I said that before?
