Well …. maybe not a saga … but the shit continues.

Yesterday the $1500 went back into my bank account. That made me super excited. But it also meant that I needed to make my AmEx payment again. So, I went online this morning to make the payment … and I couldn’t. There was just a message saying to call Customer Service. Turns out my online privileges have been suspended … plus I discovered I was popped $38 by AmEx for them returning my money AND I was probably gonna have a late fee attached to my payment since I was going to have to now mail it in. I was told that my account would go under review and I would hear from them in 5-7 days. Argh.

Later in the afternoon, I was back on the AmEx site and was greeted with this fun message:
Charging privileges are suspended. We will evaluate your account for restoration of your charging privileges when payment is made for at least $1500.00. Note this amount does not reflect payments made since 09-03-2009.

Now I am really mad. It’s not like I am some chronically problemed account. One snafu and this is what happens. Fuckers. So, this weekend I am going to research transferring my balance somewhere else and saying “Fuck you, AmEx!”

One good thing from this is that it’s lit a fire under my ass. I am planning on being credit card debt free in 6-12 months.
