Here we are a few days later and the gas situation here in WNC doesn’t seem to be any better. Most stations you drive past have been out for days. You can certainly tell which station has gotten a shipment. They get so swamped that the employees of said gas station have to get out in the road and direct traffic. It’s crazy! They keep saying that Hurricanes Ike and Gustav are to blame because the “such and such” pipeline is “running at reduced capacity.” I mean … c’mon! How man hurricanes have there been over how many years and it’s never, ever been this bad.
Personally, I think we are trapped in some secret government run experiment to see what happens when the gas suddenly goes. Seriously.
Feels like we are living in some “post holocaust” movie. Where the hell are the aliens? Where is the damn “Postman”. but then….. Wendys and McDonalds are still open 24 hours a day and the roads are full of traffic all day. Where are all these people going if they have no gas?
I’m in Michigan and there’s no problem here….so far. It did go up to 4-5 dollars a gal. when the hurricanes hit, but its back down to 3.89. Hope things get back to normal there.
They’s teachin’ us some lesson….uh huh – just like with the “Sugar Shortage” way long time ago in the early 70’s …”TAKE THAT PEASANTS! and that and that and THAT …how’s that feel, huh? You ready to be-Have…” yeah, like we’s children’s or something…huhn. (why am i talking like clementine?) DANG!
