I know. I shouldn’t let the speeches going on at the Republican National Convention piss me off … but they do! To hear them talk, they paint themselves as fiscally responsible angels that want less government in our lives. Ummm … yeah. How many years ago did that in fact stop being a reality? Meanwhile, we Democrats are all gun hating, homo loving, baby killers.
Oh, wait … I do loves me some homos.

I knew there was a reason I’ve been driving around all week gritting my teeth. (Really, I have.) Now I know the source of my extreme irritation. The really frightening part? These ass****s are in the majority.
So many of our countrymen have neither the attention span nor intellect to fully appreciate the gift of a representative democracy. That allows zealots and their hangers-on to wield more political power than they are due.
Last night on the BBC America newscast, their reporter asked a random delegate why she was so taken with Palin as the VP. Her answer, “I can relate to her; when she spoke she did not use a lot of big words.†I wish I were making that up…
Actually, I don’t either party….they can all kiss my ass. Huhn! Democrats, Republications – makes no difference to me – they all do and say whatever they have to for the ends to their means.

kat… while i agree that both parties “do and say whatever they have to,” there are real, important differences between them. the GOP welcomes bigots in their big tent. they want to destroy the separation of church and state. they want to overturn roe. they want to amend homophobia into the constitution.
And the Democrats stand four-square against all of the above.
