Simply put, “The Ruins” is one of the most disturbing books that I have ever read. It works a level above the typical horror novel. After finishing it last night at 1:00 a.m., I lay in bed turning over the events of the story in my mind. It took a long time to get to sleep.

As soon as you mentioned it, I requested it from the local library. It came in last week and I started it last night. I couldn’t stop reading it. They’ve just reached the top of the hill with the tents, so don’t give anything away. I’ll let you know when I’ve finished it. I love the build up so far.
