  1. Ja, ja, die Cocteau Zwillinge,…

Fine 4AD stuff, like most of this labels artists: what is this (all) about, etherical and artful to painful. The bloody harsh truth, was it us in the old days buying some Cocteau 12 inches because of the painful mixes added or just because of the colourful, asskicking sleeves? I mean, to be honest, I really loved the Blue Bell Knoll double-gatefold-limited-glossy-don’t-touch-this cover, but the LP itself ??

To end this, Heaven or Las Vegas finds itselfs way often on the stereo.

So, which ones to pick off Cocteaus big sister THIS MORTAL COIL ?

  2. I must say the kickin’ 23E sleeves were what got me interested in the Twins in the first place. “Blue Bell Knoll” is way off as an album. “Heaven or Las Vegas” is probably their masterpiece … though I still really dig the very dark mood of “Garlands.”
