1. I will again state my utter and total hatred of the USPS tracking system. Boy, does it stink.
2. I’ve joined Netflix and now have 90 films I’ve been wanting to see in my queue. Now I can keep up with Dr. Phibes in Asian horror viewing. Whoo!
My first thirteen (of 100 dvds) are:
1. “A Night to Remember”
2. “Lord of the Flies” (1963)
3. “City of God”
4. “Battle Royale” Special Edition
5. Dario Argento Collection: Vol. 3: “Tenebre”
6. Dario Argento Collection: Vol. 1: “Inferno”
7. “Kwaidan”
8. “Uzumaki”
9. “Ringu”
10. “Suicide Club”
11. “The Devil’s Backbone”
12. “Solaris” (1972, Russian)
13. “Bush’s Brain”~

Big thumbs up on “The Devil’s Backbone.” Be prepared for the long-winded “Solaris” – thank Gawd you didn’t go for the clowny Clooney version.
I have already suffered through the Clooney version. A friend of mine that went to the NYU Film School really digs the Russian version, so I have been wanting to see it.
Great news! You will love “Devil’s Backbone” & “Ringu”. I also want to see what you think of “Uzumaki” (think Asian David Lynch). When you get a chance try “Phone”, it was a treat.
I’ve only seen Night to Remember (this is the 1950s film, correct?). It was okay, the most accurate of the Titanic films in terms of the events that happened.
