Now that the very lackluster “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” is out on video … I feel it’s my duty to save you some money by posting some caps of the only scene in the movie worth watching. *Sigh* … Chris Evans is so dreamy. Jump inside for some more. Continue reading “Save Some Money”

Meanwhile … Season Two Starts!

And for you “Heroes” fans, here’s Milo Ventimiglia …
One Down. Two To Go!
Whew. A busy week is almost done. Here are three images to start off your weekend.

We got on our stage this past week and it seems like the actors have adjusted pretty well to the space … if they can just remember their lines, lyrics, choreography and staging. Heh. We have one more week of “running through” the show and two dress/tech rehearsals before people will come in for the final dress rehearsal. Hard to believe but “Cabaret” opens in a mere two weeks!

And here’s Chris Evans (again) in a still from the movie “Sunshine.” Mmmm, mmmm.

Must … Have … Dalek … Spacebot #13 Qee!!!
Happy Weekend to ya!
Some Weekend Movies
I watched a few movies over the weekend.
Team America: World Police (2004)
After the total brilliance of “South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut,” Matt Stone and Trey Parker released this dud of a movie on us. Some parts of it are funny, but for the most of the film the jokes just fall flat on their face, the musical “bits” are pretty lame and it last about 30 minutes longer than it should have. Zzzzzzzzz.
Into the Blue (2005)
This is a pretty decent psuedo-remake of “The Deep” (which is a pretty terrible film). It gets lots of bonus points for tons and tons of Paul Walker eye candy (please see below).

London (2005)
Not a really good movie. It’s a little too talkie and philosophical. But the Chris Evans eye candy factor (see below) is very high … so I liked it!

Next Weekend

Don’t forget that next weekend the rest of America will get Danny Boyle’s “Sunshine” (featuring Chris Evans!) at their local cinema.
You can see the film this weekend if you happen to be in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston or Toronto. Pffffft!
Oh, yeah … and that “Simpsons Movie” opens next weekend as well.
Meet Charles Simpson (Redux)

I have “refined” myself with a goatee trim and a chubby tummy.
Meet Charles Simpson

Sporty!

Something tells me I need to start watching tennis.

Mmmmmm … Simon Pegg!
While In New York (Redux)

Last Friday afternoon while kicking around, Scott and I decided to take in a movie. Unfortunately for us we chose “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.” Scott has some more detailed thoughts about this dreadful piece of crap movie … but I want to talk solely about (you guessed it) Chris Evans. He’s pretty much the only reason to see the film. Michael Chiklis doesn’t really have anything to do and Ioan Gruffudd and Jessica Alba are really terrible actors. And I mean REALLY terrible … as in laughably bad. But Chris Evans has got great spunk and personality on screen. Sad thing is that the shirtless scene he does is totally gratuitous and not necessary especially where it is just stuck into the cookie cutter plot. My advice: If you want to see Mr. Evans shirtless, watch “Cellular” which is a much better piece of popcorn entertainment. You can save your money on “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” by looking at the picture below.

I bought this really hot card (“In The Sling”) by Drub at The Leather Man.
An Open Letter

Dear Mr. Evans,
It’s been a while since I have written you because you’ve been laying low. I haven’t seen you in any movies lately though I do know that you have a big one opening next week. Maybe that’s where you have been … off hitting the gym everyday to buff up your already perfect body for the reprise of the role of Johnny Storm. In fact, you are the only reason I will plunk down my hard earned cash to see “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.” I am sure that your shirtless scene(s) and overall charm will elevate the movie to being a wee bit more than total trash.
As always, if you need a break from all the zaniness of Hollywood stardom, you are more than welcome to drop by my mountain retreat anytime you want to. I promise that your stay would be most enjoyable!
Lust-ily yours,
Chas.
Mmmmm … Robin Hood
On the front of the new Doctor Who dvds from the “New Beginnings” Box Set there is a preview for the new-ish BBC series of “Robin Hood.” I really wasn’t paying all that much attention until the young and scruffy Robin (played by Jonas Armstrong) started romping around the screen acting all alpha male with his sword and bow/arrows. Yow. I think I need to see this show … now!
