Come take this hand at twilight’s door
I’ll meet you there we’ll share the moonlit floor
Through the driving rain, colours run in veins
Ozone fills the air, two figures disappear

Birds ‘N Bees
I feel so sappy, happy, wacky today. It’s been rainy and gloomy outside … but who cares! The past couple of weeks have been pretty great. Yeah. I actually even used the “L” word today.
Damn, damn, damn.
I have had this song on my brain ever since I woke up this morning. Here it is sung by my favorite jazz singer/pianist, Shirley Horn.

“Only”
My favorite tune off the new Nine Inch Nails is the track “Only.” It kicks.
I’m becoming less defined, as days go by
Fading away, well you might say I’m losing focus
Kinda drifting into the abstract in terms of how I see myself
Sometimes, I think I can see right through myself
Sometimes, I think I can see right through myself
Sometimes, I can see right through myself
Less concerned, about fitting into the world
Your world that is, cause it doesn’t really matter anymore (no, it doesn’t really matter anymore)
No, it doesn’t really matter anymore
None of this shit really matters anymore
Yes I am alone but then again I always was
As far back as I can tell, I think maybe it’s because
because you were never really real to begin with
I just made you up, to hurt myself
I just made you up to hurt myself
Yeah, and I just made you up to hurt myself
I just made you up to hurt myself
Yeah, and I just made you up to hurt myself
And it worked
Yes it did!
There is no you, there is only me
There is no you, there is only me
There is no fucking you, there is only me
There is no fucking you, there is only me
Words: Reznor
Mix It Up

As most Mac Nerds know, Trent Reznor is the coolest man on the planet. Over at the official Nine Inch Nails site you can download a package containing all parts of the new single “The Hand That Feeds” and play with it on your computer (if you have a Mac and Garageband 2.0). What fun! I messed around with it for just a little bit last night. I now offer, for your listening pleasure, my first attempt giving Mr. Reznor a helping hand.

Stormy Weather
You ever had one of those days where your brain runs 90 miles a minute.
Yup.
Chatty with the co-workers. I’m never all chatty with the co-workers … at least not the way I was this morning. New York City, movies, “Star Wars,” music. Nothing of consequence. Blah.
One of my neighbors died. He hadn’t been in good health anyway. It’s sad. He and his wife had been married for around 48 years. They seemed good together.
Focus out. Not in.
Stormy day. Rain coming down in sheets. Thunder rolling from the ridges. It echoes.
Evil has been back on the brain again as well. He never seems to stay far away for some reason. I wish that I knew why. I shouldn’t have looked at those pictures last night. Two years ago … yeah, you heard that right … two whole years ago. A birthday party the coolest of friends. It makes me sad to think about how he made (and makes) me act. I wonder if he knows just how obsessed I am? I know that only I can change that. Right. Easier said than done apparently.
“I want to be a kid again
Combed down hair and Sunday best
See me staying out bunking school
Knowing wrong from right just rules
My mother never told …”

C’mere
It’s way too late to be this locked inside ourselves
The trouble is that you’re in love with someone else
It should be me. Oh, it should be me
Your sacred parts, your getaways
You come along on summer days
Tenderly, tastefully
And so may, we make time
Try to find somebody else
This place is mine
Interpol – C’mere [4.37 MB]
Best Break Up Song. Ever.
“It’s All Over But The Crying” by Garbage
Everything you think you know baby is wrong
And everything you think you had baby is gone
Certain things turn ugly when you think too hard
And nagging little thoughts change into things you can’t turn off
Everything you think you know baby is wrong
It’s all over but the crying
Fade to black I’m sick of trying
Took too much and now I’m done
It’s all over but the crying
Do you really think I’m made of stone baby?
C’mon!
That we only love the things we own?
Baby you’re wrong
Certain things just happen when you make no plans
And love can really tear you up and it can break you down
Everything you think you know baby is wrong
It’s all over but the crying
Fade to black I’m sick of trying
Took too much and now I’m done
It’s all over but the crying
Baby we’re done
If I could I would
I’d change everything ’cause I can’t forget you though you don’t believe me
Now I can’t walk back
I can’t leave behind
Where does it go all the light that we had?
Everything you think you know baby is wrong
And everything you think you had baby is gone
Baby we’re done
[From the ultra-kickin’ “Bleed Like Me”]
Garbage!
Ooooo, ooooo! “Bleed Like Me” is now in my greedy, materialistic hands. The initial listen reveals a pretty guitar heavy album (and that’s not a bad thing) … but I will save my full thoughts until a thorough listen is given to it tonight.
Friendly Reminder

Don’t forget what hits stores tomorrow! I am highly excited about this ‘un especially since the first single is so freakin’ sweet.
“The Forgotten Arm”
If you head over the Aimee Mann’s site you can give a listen to the entire upcoming album, “The Forgotten Arm.” Alas, it looks as if she won’t be hitting The Orange Peel in A-ville when she tours. Bummer.
Moshi Moshi!
Oh, internet radio … how I love thee! You bring me fun and exciting things to listen to like Japan-A-Radio (Japan’s Best Music Mix!).
