I am still struggling a bit to get back into some sort of posting routine. October has been insanely busy (with work and social obligations) and I am looking forward to November wherein I have nothing exciting planned (except maybe a weekend in Charleston or Atlanta).
Some random things that have happened:
– Went to Michigan for a wedding (but you know that).
– Discovered OrbitDVD. It’s awesome.
– Attended two Halloween parties and hosted one.
– Only got blackout drunk once.
– Got a hot new jock and boxer brief.
Meanwhile … my sister and I unexpectedly found out last weekend that we are tied in to dad’s estate. He didn’t leave a will and we assumed our stepmother would inherit everything. It turns out that’s apparently not the case. So, my “No worries! We are off the hook.” attitude has become “Ugh. We are on the hook and now there’s stuff to worry about!” I guess we will find out in the coming weeks what it all means.
Dr. Phibes and Co. are in town this week for a slightly altered version of MonsterFest. He’s rented this super swank house overlooking one of the local country clubs. 6,000+ square feet and valued at a million and a half. It’s really excessive and makes me wish I were rich. We probably won’t get that many movies watched this year, but it’s always the company that’s the most important thing.
