Here’s a quickie logo I designed up for the local (west of Asheville that is) LGBT group.

Design Time: “Dracula” Poster

Here a look at the poster I designed for the now dead (pun intended) production of “Dracula” that was supposed to have taken place later this month in Asheville. Bad thing about a dead show is there’s no pay for the poster designer. Oh, well.
Dave will immediately know from whence the “inspiration” came.
Sunday Movie Double Feature

What better way is there to spend a blustery, dreary fall day than to spend it at the movies!
“Animal Kingdom” (Australia, 2010)
This wasn’t at all what I expected. It’s less a story about actual crime and more about the effects of crime on a 17 year old suddenly thrust into his uncle’s criminal world. This movie is well written, directed and superbly acted. Well worth seeing if it’s playing in your area … two thumbs up!!!
“The Social Network” (USA, 2010)
Seriously. David Fincher IS the best director working in the business today. This whole movie is top notch … from the directing to the Aaron Sorkin script to the acting to the Reznor/Ross score. Another two thumbs up!!!
Some Hiking Photos
PT and I hit the trusty trail heading up Sam Branch this past Saturday. Here’s some pictures!

Design Time: “The Little Foxes” Poster

HART‘s season is winding down. The fall musical is running and the final show (Lillian Hellman’s “The Little Foxes” … which I am in) is currently in rehearsals. This poster was fun to do … especially looking at 1900-style lettering and working up the logo for the show.
Oh … Hells … Yes!!!

Out on DVD and Blu-ray today is “Fringe: The Complete Second Season!” I, for one, am super excited as I only got to see up to the mid-season break before “Seussical” destroyed my brain. Now I can catch up with Dunham, Walter and Peter (mmmm … Joshua Jackson!!!).
Still Around … Sorta
Sheesh.
The past month has been making me wonder if it time to blogocide ye olde Boy Wonder or not. My interest level in keeping up with posts has been pretty much non-existent after getting back from NYC.
I blame it on stress.
Seems like there has just been a big ole parade of things to be stressed about this year. And, yeah … some of the things are (or were) things to be stressed out about. But, there’s a certain amount of them that have totally been “me” induced.
I am fairly certain that when the dust settles, August 2010 is going to go down as “The Month I Lost to Stress.”
Oh. Hells. Yeah.
One Month
Yeah … obviously I haven’t posted in a little over a month.
One. Crappy. Month.
Hopefully September will be better.

Nothing To Say
Yup. Not much to report right now.
Oh … my Flood Insurance policy arrived in the mail today.
How exciting is that?
Damn You, Blu-Ray

My next upgrade from the DVD collection has been announced for October 26th … ’cause, honestly, how can I not have “Alien” and “Aliens” in high definition. Time to start saving my pennies!!!
