Have I mentioned that I totally excited that Blonde Readhead is playing the Peel?
Music
Sweetness!

The Orange Peel has just announced that Blonde Redhead will playing there on September 19th. Rawk!
Week-Ending Exit
The day has kinda gotten away from me. So, I will leave you with the totally rockin’ performance of Jefferson Airplane’s “High Flyin’ Bird” from the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival.
Coming July 9th!

Garbage has announced a “best of” collection that will hit stores on July 9th. The collection will include a new track called “Tell Me Where It Hurts.” Coming with the CD will be a DVD featuring all of Garbage’s video. Sweet! And if you just can’t get enough, there will be a limited edition 2-CD release with a disc of remixes. Super Sweet!
Now if they could just get things together and release an official collection of their B-Sides I would be in heaven.

Year Zero (Redux)
Not only is the album pretty awesome, but the disc to Nine Inch Nails’ “Year Zero” changes colors when you play it. Pretty sweet!

Before.

After.
Year Zero
Sounds like Nine Inch Nails has gone political. “Year Zero” hits stores today, so get off your ass and go get it!
On a semi-related note: I am totally loving Trent Reznor’s new muscle daddy look. Mmmmm.
Upcoming Music

Nine Inch Nails’ “Year Zero” on April 17th.

Tori Amos’ “American Doll Posse” on May 1st.

“Out of the Woods”

Hot damn. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to hear that a solo album from Tracey Thorn (singer, etc. of Everything but the Girl) will be out within two months. “Out of the Woods” will drop in Europe on March 5th and in will hit the U.S. on March 20th. This is so rockin’ … ’cause it took almost a year for the Cardigans’ new album to make it across the pond and Goldfrapp’s “Supernature” took it’s sweet time too. Anyhoo. I have been in love with Tracey’s song writing and singing for quite some time now. Check the first single, “It’s All True.”
