I got a call last night. He’s leaving to go back out of town for a couple of weeks and wants to catch up with me before he leaves. This is all well and good, but it’s not necessarily the thing that should happen (for so, so many reasons.)<\/p>\n
If I were insane, I would think:
“He wants to spend time with me<\/u> before he leaves for two weeks. It must mean something!”<\/p>\n
If I were sensible, I would think:
“Yeah. My friend<\/u> wants to see me (his friend<\/u>) before he’s gone for a bit.”<\/p>\n
If I were realistic, I would have said:
“No. I am busy every night. We’ll just have to catch up when you get back.”<\/p>\n
Needless to say, I am insane.<\/u><\/p>\n
