So, yeah … I am super frustrated with the way “The Producers” is going.<\/p>\n
Last night’s rehearsal was for choreography for the numbers in Act One. Bear in mind that “Opening Night,” “King of Broadway” and “Along Came Bialy” have all been choreographed … three weeks ago. Well, last night they spent two hours running and re-running those numbers. Meanwhile, “Keep It Gay” and “Der Guten Tag Hop Clop” still haven’t been touched. We finally got around to “Keep It Gay” about 10:00 last night. Gah!!!<\/p>\n
I am usually not and overly fussy person when I am in a show. But considering the fact that we only have this week and one more full week before tech … I am getting a little wound up. Just seems like a lot of time is being spent “refining” things that can be worked on during a normal run of Act One as opposed to taking large amounts of time for those numbers when others haven’t even been staged.<\/p>\n
This sucks!<\/p>\n
