So, I ended up leaving work about 1:30 yesterday as the snow kept coming down. For once it wasn’t the “school girl powder” snow that we normally get but a “butt-kicking evil” wet snow that was slick and heavy. When I got home I felt stupid, because the roads were mostly clear and I probably could have stayed. The boss informed me this morning that the power went out here at work about 3:00 and stayed out until late in the night. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (no, not Lord Voldemort<\/b><\/a>) turned up on my doorstep as is usual when he is at school<\/b><\/a> and the roads get messy. Where he lives (near the Tennessee state line) always gets hammered worse than we do here in town. I was not in the right frame of mind to have him sleep over last night. What can you do? So, the suggestion to beat it to the store for beer<\/b><\/a> was a good one. I got buzzed, acted like everything was cool and kept my mouth shut. I didn’t cry too much when he bedded down on the couch and I crawled into bed all by myself knowing that I would wake up and have to see his face this morning.
