Dear sweet Jebus … how I love three-day weekends! Mine was busy, but relaxing as well ’cause most of the stuff I was doing was a “fun” kind of busy.<\/p>\n

Went and saw the new show (“Jake’s Women<\/strong><\/a>“) at the theater on Friday night. I had been debating about skipping it and just going to the party and then decided I needed to see the show. I wish I had just skipped it. Terrible, terrible show … and it’s no fault of the actors or director. It’s that super crappy script\/story that Neil Simon wrote. In fact, I think the only reason this play got produced in the first place was not because of any sign of quality, but on the mere fact that Neil Simon’s name is attached to it. I felt bad for all those talented people up there spouting Simon’s insipid dialogue. Ugh.<\/p>\n

Got some much put off freelance work started on. Hooray! Maybe my lazy streak is over?<\/p>\n

Met up with Franke and we ate Japanese on Saturday evening. Mmmmm. Afterwards I went off to the Fine Arts to see “Sunshine<\/strong><\/a>” (again) ’cause it finally opened in Asheville. I think the movie was as good (if not better) on the second viewing. I can’t wait for this to hit dvd so I can do multiple repeat viewings. Yes!<\/p>\n

Damn Best Buy and those super sales they have been running on dvds.<\/p>\n

\"Invasion\"
\nAnd thanks to one of those super sales (only $14.99!), I am now plugging my way through the first (and only) season of “Invasion<\/strong><\/a>.” I am about halfway through and am really liking it so far.<\/p>\n

While at Best Buy, I also picked up the new album from UNKLE<\/strong><\/a> entitled “War Stories<\/strong><\/a>.” It’s g-r-r-r-r-reat!<\/p>\n

DVDs from Netflix that were watched this past weekend:
\n“The Swarm<\/strong><\/a>” (1978): Bad … and not in the good “campy” way.
\n“Sympathy from Mr. Vengeance<\/strong><\/a>” (2002): Wow and WOW!
