There was a <a href=\"http:\/\/cgi.citizen-times.com\/cgi-bin\/story\/buncombe_news\/51150\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>rally in support of the &#8220;Sanctity of Marriage&#8221;<\/strong><\/a> in Asheville on Saturday. Of course, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citizentimes.com\/photogallery\/gallery.php?gallery=411\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>gay rights supporters<\/strong><\/a> showed up in protest of the rally and eleven were arrested. The reasoning being that the gay rights folks didn&#8217;t have a permit to assemble. Good grief. Last week, flyers promoting the damn thing started showing up here in Waynesville. I had thought about going and didn&#8217;t.
